What do I look for in a photographer?
During a large event (such as a wedding), a professional will know what to expect and will guide you and your guests as necessary throughout the event.  Courtesy and competence, a great “eye” and being “everywhere at once” are signs of excellence.  Choose someone with whom you feel comfortable and  who is easy to communicate with.
If necessary, I can help with the pace of the event to keep it running smoothly.

Where are you located?
My home and studio are located in Marysville.  Much of my work is done on location.  My outdoor portrait sessions are done in a park near my home or a location preferred by the client. 

Do I get the “negatives”?
Yes.  My rates include digital files on CD or DVD.

Do you have current clients who I can speak with?
Yes, I have a list of clients who could provide honest feedback about my work. 

What planning is necessary?
For a portrait shoot, we will discuss clothing, props, time of day and location beforehand to assure the look you want.  A little planning will go a long way and communication is key .  For a wedding or event, it  is essential that you provide me with a list of special combinations of people you desire photographs of.  I can e-mail you a list which you may personalize to suit your event.  This list, in addition to a  general itinerary of the day’s event and notes about special guests are very helpful.  Details of the event, such as time of day, lighting in or outside the venue will assist me  greatly.

What are your prices?
Several packages are available for wedding photography.  They range from $1200 for an intimate wedding (up to three hours photography) to $3400 for a full day shoot.  The most popular package is $2200, which includes up to 6 hours of photography, an engagement session and an archival CD/DVD of the day.  An online gallery is included for viewing the day’s events.  8.6% sales tax will be added.

How do I book your services for my wedding?
First of all, you need to  check with me for availability on your day.  I require a payment of one third to book the event; one third is due three months before the event and the final is due two weeks before  the day of the event.

What special considerations do you need?
An all day affair means that I will need to take a break.  The best time for this is when you and your guests are eating;  I appreciate a meal during this time as well.  If I need to travel more than one hour each direction, there may be a travel fee; this will clearly be discussed beforehand and written into our contract.

Do you print your own work?
I do my own custom printing, using a high-quality printer and archival pigment-based inks to ensure beautiful, long lasting images.

Do you do retouching?
Your proofs do not generally include retouching; however, retouching is included in all custom portraits, including the wedding album images.
